Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
This policy explains what the Wendrobe app (“Wendrobe”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and what you can do about it. Wendrobe is published on the App Store by Fatih Demir and built by Beyfasoft. Questions go to info@beyfasoft.com.
The short version
- You do not create an account. The app signs in anonymously with a random identifier made on your device.
- Photos you scan are sent to our server so they can be analyzed. Your scan history and wardrobe are stored on your iPhone.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have Pro.
- We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google) to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes.
- We do not sell your personal data.
What we collect and why
Device sign-in
The first time you open Wendrobe, the app creates a random device identifier and a secret, stores them in the iOS Keychain, and sends them to our server at api.wendrobe.com together with your device platform, model, iOS version and app version. The server uses this to create an anonymous account and issue sign-in tokens. We do not ask for your name, email address or a password.
Photos and analysis
When you scan an outfit, the photo is sent to our server with the occasion you picked and the language the app is using. When you add pieces to your wardrobe from a photo, that photo is sent to our server so the pieces can be detected. The server returns the score, checklist, color analysis, recommendations and detected pieces. Photos are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Data stored on your iPhone
Your scan results, outfit history, calendar and wardrobe are stored on your device. A small amount of data is shared with the Wendrobe home screen widget on the same device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Purchases and subscription status
Payments are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to read your subscription status; RevenueCat receives your anonymous account identifier and the purchase information Apple provides. The app also sends your subscription status (for example whether Pro is active, the plan, whether it is a trial period and when it expires) to our server so that features can be unlocked.
Feedback
If you send feedback from the app’s Settings, we receive the subject and message you write, linked to your anonymous account.
Analytics and crash reports
We use Firebase Analytics to record how the app is used, such as finishing onboarding, your answers to permission prompts, opening the upgrade screen, choosing a plan, the result of a purchase, switching tabs and reaching a free limit. Firebase also collects standard information such as an app instance identifier, device model, iOS version, approximate location derived from your IP address and session data. Your anonymous account identifier is attached to these events.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, which include the state of the app and device at the time of a crash.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera and Photos, to take or choose the photo you want analyzed. The app only reads the photos you pick.
- Notifications, for style tips and updates. You can turn them off in Settings.
Wendrobe does not use your device’s advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Wendrobe:
| Provider | What for | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | App Store purchases | Purchase and subscription records |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status | Anonymous account identifier, purchase information |
| Google (Firebase) | Analytics and crash reports | Usage events, device information, crash logs |
| Providers that host our server and run the analysis for us | Outfit analysis and piece detection | Photos and the details sent with them |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep data
Data on your iPhone stays until you delete it or the app. Data on our server is kept only as long as we need it to provide the service, and then deleted. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google according to the retention settings of our Firebase project.
Your choices
- You can use Wendrobe without giving your name or email address.
- You can deny or later revoke camera, photo and notification permissions in your iPhone’s Settings.
- You can delete local data by deleting the app.
- You can ask us to access or delete data held on our server by writing to info@beyfasoft.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you may complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Wendrobe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
